NRN Concert in Moscow

Ani Choying performed in Russia for the first time on 07th July,at People's Friendship University ( RUDN).  Organized by the members of the NRN, over 100 people attended the concert, particulary special for Ani Choying as the audience included Nepalese living in Russia.     Students of PFU Ruby, Pratisara and Prasamsa opened the evening by dancing on the Nepalese song "Poolko Aankhama". 

Ani sang some well-known Nepalese songs from her album for an hour, in pin-drop silence.  The audience were in rapt attention and few realised that over an hour had passed.  She closed the performance with "Phoolko Aaankhama".  Chief Patron, Mr. Upendra Mahato, presented Ani with flower and a Russian souvenir, before a student from the university, named Sukrit, ended the evening with a drum performance.

Birthday Celebration of Ani Choying Drolma

Ani Choying Drolma celebrated her birthday on June 04th with a visit to Arya Tara School in Pharping.  She was greeted by the little nuns with traditional offering of the khada(traditional tibetan scarf) and also birthday cards.  To mark the auspicious brithday of our founder,  a games competition was organized for the nuns, who had great fun with games such as the Spoon race, doughnut biting , balancing Race, card board stepping, feeding the partners, math solving and musical chair.  The nuns played according to their "houses".  We were very happy that former students of Arya Tara School also returned to join in the fun.

Visit to Bhutan

Ani Choying Dolma visited Bhutan on 09th May.  She was invited to attain the 100 centenary celebration of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.  She stayed there for one week. Some of the famous singer of Nepal were there.  Nepali singer Nima Rumba and Mingmar Sherpa were there and another well known singer Tsering Gurmey were there to attain the celebration. 

 On the next day, Ani Choying Dolma got an golden opportunity to meet Prime Minister Lyonchhen Jigme Y. Thinley.    Her experience at Bhutan was memoriable.

100 Centenary of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

On February 20th, Ani Choying Dolma attained the centenary celebration of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche at Shechen Tennyi Dargyeling Monastery till 23rd February. All the closest heart disciples of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche were especially invited to join the celebrations of the enlightened life activity of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.  On the first day the sacred relics of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche were displayed for viewing. At the afternoon Ani Choying offering Khadas(spiritual tibetan  scraft) to the scared relic.

A Benefits for "STREET DOG CARE"

The Street Dog Care Camp was established in February 2009 at Boudha Stupa for the street dogs who are suffering from skin diseases, infection and injuries inside the Kathmandu valley.  Most of the dogs who live in a miserable state suffer from these disease.   Dogs in serious conditions are trated at a veterinary clinic and cared for at the SDC Centre untl they are fit to go back to the street or to be adopted.  So, this time Ani Choying Drolma lead her hand to support Street Dog Care Camp by doing a fundraising concert.  For more information on Street Dog Care Camp please, log on to http://www.streetdogcare.org

 

The concert will take place at Hyatt Regency Ballroom on December 19 from 5:00pm tp 7:00pm.
